Detail photos of Prince Zuko's double swords from Avatar the Last Airbender. So this was an interesting piece to create. This is actually the second version and at some point in the future there will be a 3.0 because they actually met with an accident while on the stage of the Cosplay Contest at Anime Banzai 2010! Still, Johny is pretty proud of the piece. For those not acquainted with the series, Prince Zuko uses a sword based off the Chinese dao (saber) that comes out as a single sword but can be split into two functional blades. The above is Johny's rendition. Using a genius idea of Trena's, he inset heavy duty craft magnets inside of each blade so when they're placed together they remain so. A simple slip of the thumb separates them into two blades. The wraps on the handles go into a shallow valley on the inside portion of each grip to maintain their flush position when together.

It's a custom made piece crafted down in Johny's workshop and at present we don't do commissions based on time constraints, sorry!
